State Inspection
State Inspection in Raleigh, NC
Are You Due for a State Vehicle Inspection?
What is a Safety Inspection?
The state of North Carolina requires that all vehicles have a yearly emissions and safety inspection, completed not more than 90 days before the expiration of your license plate and registration. Failure to have the emissions and safety inspection completed will block your license plate and registration renewal. During this inspection, the team at Murphy Sunoco will inspect and test headlights, accessory lights, and directional signals. They’ll also inspect and test the brakes, steering, and tires. Finally, the windshield wipers and exhaust system will be inspected and tested. Failure in any of these areas will result in failure for the entire inspection, forcing you to return another day to have the vehicle reinspected after the issues have been repaired.
